In 1944, 49-year-old Xu Beihong lived in Chongqing and taught at Central University. At this time, he had held many art exhibitions and began to prepare for the China Academy of Fine Arts. This year, the Anti-Japanese War has come to an end, which is the eve of victory. And his personal life has a new starting point. In 1944, Xu Beihong and Liao Jingwen formally got married, found a lover to accompany them, and slowly got out of the pain and shadow of family life in the past. This period is the time when Xu Beihong’s thoughts and life changed the most, his art was the most mature, and his images were the most meaningful. Everything entered a new stage.
